And the good advice. :) posted by: librarianguish (reply) post date: 11.10.04 (10:32 am) I really wonder sometimes, too. Don't know if the missing teen was here in WA, but if so it's one of our teen volunteers from last summer. She was one of the most dedicated and reliable of the bunch, and a real sweetheart. As a mother, I fear for Nolan all the time, but often in a big-scale way. It's hard not to be a worrywort. I worry about nukes (who ever thought we'd have that problem?), and illness, and weirdos out there wandering around. I worry that he won't be able to afford college, or that he might get drafted in the future. I'd like to have another kid, but now that Bush was re-elected I doubt I will (also pushing 40). It would be more productive to adopt. I think humanity is suffering from a horrible illness of the heart, and I don't know how it can be helped. The best we can do is live and love by example I guess. Blessings. posted by: Gigi (reply) post date: 11.15.04 (9:25 am) Reply to: librarianguish I believe the teen was from WA, we get your news up here. Do you know if they've found her. I guess all we can do is do the best we can ourselves. Sigh. |
